Toshiyuki Fukuda: Opinion about "crocodile" Toyota accepting Julie's "resignation"

<snip most of article--here's the last paragraph>

By accepting the "resignation" of Ms. Hamp, Toyota seems to be aiming at an early curtain pull. But this is not tail-cutting from a lizard, it is tail-cutting from a huge crocodile, so handling the situation going forward is also going to be troublesome. The over-eagerness of Toyota's president to call an emergency press conference could be regarded an attempt to "dispose" of the entire affair before the full details became clear to the public. It would have been good not to leave any remorse for the future in regard to how the crisis was managed this time, with such a lack of consideration, but oh well...

and now for a little Lewis Carroll poetic addendum with hats off to AA:

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin
How neatly spreads his claws
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!
