Emergency Relief Aid to Fight Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever


Toyota Tsusho Corporation and CFAO, an alliance company of Toyota Tsusho, have jointly pledged the following emergency relief aid for Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea to fight Ebola hemorrhagic fever, which has been spreading primarily in western Africa.

Details of Relief Aid

1. Liberia
  ・Two vehicles (one ambulance and one truck) will be donated to the Red Cross.
  ・US$10,000 in cash aid and US$10,000 worth of pharmaceuticals will be donated through a local French business association to the Red Cross via the French Embassy.
2. Sierra Leone
  ・Two vehicles (one ambulance and one passenger car) will be donated to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.
  ・US$20,000 in cash aid will be donated to UNICEF.
3. Guinea
  ・One vehicle (passenger car) will be donated to the Red Cross and one vehicle (ambulance) to
   the presidential office.
  ・US$10,000 worth of pharmaceuticals will be donated to the Red Cross and NGO Order of Malta*.
  ・US$10,000 worth of pharmaceuticals will be donated to the Ebola response center operated by the presidency of the Republic of Guinea.

We extend our deepest sympathies and wishes for recovery to all those who have been affected by this disease, and our sincere wishes for the region's speedy recovery.


*Order of Malta: A well-established order of clergy providing humanitarian support, medical aid, and social welfare programs in more than 120 countries. The NGO has been granted observer status by the United Nations.
