A well-considered comment by an anonymous physicist; still, must be classified as an unconfirmed rumor:
"We know that something in the ETCS-I design is causing SUA. So we must be willing to admit that Toyota engineers may not have considered something that they should have. Or maybe they did consider something, but felt that they had no alternative but to do it the way they did, and that no one would ever find the problem."
.....it is true that the causes of SUA are hard to find. In that, we all agree. But we part ways when the causes are indeed found. Some face them, and others deny them.
